This once happened to my black berry phone.First and foremost, take your phone's battery out. This is because, the reason our phones stop working after they get into water is because we try to turn them on again without letting them dry and the batteries shut the phones.
Moreover, you have to be very patient as this is the ONLY WAY OUT at that particular point in time, because you are not a professional in that field.
As crazy as it may seem, the next thing you have to do is to place your phone in a bag of rice..Yea, i know this sounds crazy but the rice sucks out all the moisture. Please leave it there for 2-3 days WITHOUT turning the phone on as this is essential. Then try to leave it on something warm like a tv.
Well,i did this and then i turned my blackberry on and it worked PERFECTLY.
Amazingly, mine spent over 25 seconds in the water before i took it out and when i went through same procedures highlighted above,it worked.
PLEASE,whatever you do..DO NOT CHECK TO SEE IF IT WORKS,wait for at least three full days.
hope this was helpful
